Introduction
Eastern Star Bilingual School has received permission from the Ministry of Education of Laos to run the school under the Ministry with the License Number: 1158/ ສສ.ຄສອ.08. Dated: 31.12.2008
We are equipped to provide studies to Local and International Board examinations offering students the opportunity to gain admission in Laos and elsewhere. Besides the promotion of education in Laos, the ultimate objective of Eastern Star Bilingual School is to develop and train creative intellectuals and enable them to face the challenges of the 21st Century in all spheres of life. Meanwhile our institutions in Laos are as follows:
Kindergarten Section (Nursery to KG 3)
Primary Section (Primary 1 to Primary 5)
Secondary Section (Secondary 1 to Secondary 4)
Higher Secondary Section (Secondary 5 to Secondary 7)
Recognizing the need for developing and expanding facilities of good education in Laos, these institutions aim at providing quality education to the Laotian youth by adapting modern methods of instruction in order to equip them with knowledge and skills that enable them to play a constructive role in the society.
The institutions strive to produce youth with a balanced personality to be integrated with the past and prepare them for the future with a high sense of discipline and duty. The most important aspect of our institution is to make students proud of their Lao culture and keen to communicate with others and their cultures.
System of Education and the Structure of ESBS
The “system of education” in ESBS is structured as shown in the figure below in keeping with the “philosophy of education”, the “aims of education”, and “the principles of education” explained above.

Primary School (Ages 6-10)
Kindergarten (Nursery, KG-1-KG-2, KG-3) (Ages 2-5)
History
Eastern Star Bilingual School was established in 2006 in the capital of Laos, Vientiane.
· The Main Campus commenced its operation in 2006 with only 273 students. The number of enrollments at the Main Campus was over 300 students in 2007.
· The Main Campus is divided into Primary, Secondary, and Higher Secondary.
· The Primary Campus commenced its operation in 2006 and has since been offering co-ed class for programs 1-5.
· The Secondary Campus commenced its operation in 2006 and since then it has been offering co-ed Class Secondary-1 to 4 programs
· The Kindergarten Campus commenced its operation in 2007 and currently it offers co-ed KG programs.
· The Higher Secondary will commence its operation in 2010 and will offer co-ed Class Higher Secondary -5 to 7 programs.
